I made this poll because every one this website jumps on people for grammer. Also everyone also goes to smart schools .If i'm right than i fell out of place.

But I don't think it's exclusive to smart people.

I'd vote yes and no. They're lots of smart people here, who discuss civilized and then there is... me.

I agree with Mynck, there's technical stuff, and then there's regular stuff.

I know that it is not exclusive but to the most part most of the people are really smart.

I'll put my vote as Yes because a dumb person (dumb meaning absolutely atrocious grammar and typing skills) doesn't belong on a forum anyway. I don't think its smart-people exclusive though. That's www.mensa.com =P

thanks for that. and thats not true at all. no well my typing may suck but i can still design graphics and draw.i have a drafting table. sweet. so im not dumb just because i cant type.

I wouldn't say my post was directed at you. The only thing you're missing is capitalization and maybe a bit of punctuation, and compared to how some people such as netspeak-using teens on AIM mangle their sentences, that's nothing.

Anyways, yeah, I suppose this forum is fairly smart people oriented. And as far as syntax goes, don't worry too much about it, at least it's understandable, there's worse grammer and spelling out there.

There's geeks from High School,Adults who are bored,Middle School Computer addicts and Young people.

That's the problem with me too. I don't use english all the time. I had to learn it starting from the 5th grade. So that's my excuse for mispelling.

In my opinion, you don't need to be smart, but you need to be mature. A lot of the time, people will think you're very smart if you just act maturely.

Yeah, this does not exclude anyone. It does not matter how smart you are, you could be the most idiotic human being on the planet (*cough Bush cough*) and still know correct grammar. Bush just chose not to study it. There is a difference.

Intelligence has little to do with how hard you study something.

Sorry to be the one to point this out but have you ever heard someone say "i need a life" and "I am a computer addict" yet say they don't "classify [themselves] as a geek", especially at the same time?
