It is okay if the Christians just go to church and pray at the foot of their beds, but when they start using the bible as an argument in congress, I get really pissed off.

It is just plain bull. And that thing about Katrina being a punishment for the peoples' sins?! I mean, I know there are quote a few bad people in New Orleans, but how can those radical Christians say that when innocent people are starving and in the cold?!

I don't believe this..........you're asking me about something that virtually every child in the U.S. knows about.........but ok.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...." which basically means that the law shall have nothing to do with religion.
Read this if you STILL don't believe me that the U.S. is a secular country.

NO, it means that Congress cannot force someone to become part of a particular religion, or ban a religion, or prohibit people from exercising their religion. It says nothing about seperation of Church and State.

Nope. What people saying it means is that you cannot mention God in public places, you can't whistle a Christian song as you walk down the hall, etc... What it really means is that Congress can't force you to join a religion, and it can't keep you from practicing yours.

Those people are...
I think there was some issue with a "Bible Club" at a school before. And it was prohibited. Why???? It's completely voluntary. People who like the subject, can go there and do stuff. And there's the removal of all the religious stuff on government property. Like anyone would really be offended by a statue.

So yeah, I agree.

I did not say that it means nothing to me, you assumed that it means nothing to me. But in the 21st century, the United States must adapt and accept science. Because the government is so predominantly Christian, South Korea has beaten us in cloning technology.

But as evolution has happened before our very eyes, you do not need several trials to prove it. if it happens before our very eyes, I think that that is proof enough.

Metamorphosis is not evolution. They are two related, but different things.
There is no missing link,
intelligent people use science to find the truth.

Facts are proven when two competent observers agree on it. And since there have been competent observers who have witnessed evolution, we can conclude that evolution is true.
