my school is starting september 6th, i was just wondering when everyone elses is starting. for the lucky, and not so lucky.

I start August 30th. Its kinda lucky cause we start later. Not lucky for me cause my bf starts school on August 21st and thats 9 days that we won't be able to hang out AND school starts on my birthday. It really sucks.

I dont know exactly what day I go back. Either the very end of august or the very beginning of september. My sister goes back a day before I do (she's gunna be a freshman, and freshmen get their own day), so that's about all the warning I'm going to have.

I get to drive to school this year! Yay! Time to get a real job so I can afford the gas...

Im kinda lucky, I start Sep. 5. Oh, and remember to get ur supplies.

Notebook? Check. Pen? Check. Calculator? Check. I'm good.

That's all? I need like one notebook per class, and a ton of paper, pens (2 or 3), pencils (2), eraser (1), notecards (who knows how many), a calculator, and umm... I think that's all. Hmm. I thought it was more.

Per class? Lol, they advise us to have a 1.5 inch 3-ring binder for every class. I've never had to use one. I just take a spiral bound notebook everywhere. A multiple subject one is sometimes nice, but I usually just flip to the next clean sheet. Home/school work? Do it in the notebook and rip it out. Notes? On the rare occasion that I take them, they just sit in there. Need someplace to keep papers? Either toss them in between the pages of the notebook, or toss them between the pages of the text-book for that particular class. Or of one from a different class, doesnt really matter. I use pen for everything (unless we take a bubble-test, in which case I'm screwed, cuz I never have anything other than my one pen). Calculator is self explanatory.

That little? We need to get all the books, a ton of notebooks (we do alot of notes), few dozen pencils, a lot of eraser (we all make mistakes), ruler, and some stuff I can't remember. But I have a nice shiny calculator (but I know how to use all the gnarly features)

Anyhoo my school starts August 15th. (but technically, I don't have to go. I've already finished the school where we have to go)

I meant that we needed 2 pencils with us at any time during school. If you count all the pencils that I tend to lose, that's probably scores of pencils.

Like I said, you need to be more responsible. I've used one pencil, the exact same pencil, for like three years, and I'm still using it now.

One Spiral notebook per class
Two to four 3-Ring Binders
Two to four packs of loose paper(150 sheets)
One blue ink pen
One red ink pen
One mechanical graphing pencil(I love these!)
A new Calculator
A protractor
A ruler
A compass

I would have a bunch of those last few on the list, but unfortunately, being the most prepared at my school, I am cursed by lending out supplies to other people and never getting them back. This is my customized general supply list for school that has worked for every year since I started using it.

I'm not sure but I think my district always starts first Wednesday of September. That's September 6th this year. Oh all right, I'll check the website... I was right. September 6th

School started for me as well. Senior year ain't bad. All my teachers have a sense of humor.

ahh im so lucky i still have another 3 weeks thank you lame-[bleeped!] newyorker scheduling!!!! but my sister heh i feel bad for her, in 2 weeks shes gonna be a freshmen at school, not grade school but she gets a dorm at a pretty good price, so... well any ways i will be here stuck in this atrificial "summer" made by the new york school board. ha ha u guys have to start fall while im still in summer. sorry guys.

sadly they do, were doing work a grade higher then we should be, everywhere else that i know of in the us is doing 7th grade work in 7th grade were doing 8th grade work in 7th grade, ahh this is gonna be great next summer i move to nc so guess what it will be like doing 7th grade all over again when im in 8th. so once again thank you new york school board
