I don't give a darn how smart you cousin is. You stated his/her ability to recall the names of presidents. That says absolutly nothing for their intelligence. If anything it says something negative about the education (s)he recieved. Memorization of frickin presidents is a waste of one's time and a waste of one's mental capacity.

It means that one is more cultured. Pop culture is actually a very important aspect of knowledge in today's world. When you go out into the real world not knowing who your country's heads of state are, it's just embarassing.

No, what's embarrassing knowing the names of all these people, but not knowing a thing about them. People can name off Washington, Paine, Franklin and the like, can say that the the Constitution was ratified on such and such a date, but they dont know what's in the Constitution, they dont know what it's creators intentions were, and they dont know how these things effect us today. I value a person's knowledge of these people, not their knowledge of their names.

I've got a shirt that has three pictures of Stewie. The first is him looking cute with a teddy bear with a gun barrel sticking out of it's arse. The second is him slightly angered with his mind-control device thingy. The third is him absolutly enraged with a rocket launcher. At the top it is simply titled "Growing Pains".

School has started, and so has the homework. I have to say, Jazz Band is an awesome class. Our music teacher tells us that we are going to do absolutely nothing in that class, so we can bring video games, food, instruments; it's great, it's like a goof-off class. The greatest thing about it is that I am still getting a credit for it. It can either count as a fine arts credit for my college prep diploma, or can count as one of the five elective credits for my college prep diploma. It rocks.

School started for me on wednesday. I just started high school. Its so different. And its hard for us cause the junior high is shoved in one of our hallways and they are EVERYWHERE and the junior high doesn't have lockers so they all have these rolly bookbags that are so annoying. And we're going to school in construction. How joyful.

Here middle school (jr. high as we call it) is just 7th and 8th grade. Above is high school and below is elementary.

I cannot wait. My main pastime is thinking, and over the summer I have not had much to think about, making my mind idle and bored.

Jeez, I remember that from somewhere... School's starting in two days for me. Because it was mentioned before, in my district elementary is K-5, middle school is 6-8, high school is 9-12 (Plus, some of the 9th graders were forced to go to that new 9th grade campus. Bleah...)

At my school we have these wanna be rappers, that are more annoying than actual rappers, these kids walk around saying stuff like "BOY boy you messin with me!?" "Yo YO" in this really cheesy fake gangsta accent thing. There are LEGIONS of them!!! They all wear these PLASTIC earrings and necklaces. They all listen to 50 cent or Chingy. Anyways, this is like my fourth week in school already. We just had our first high school football home game on friday.

On occasion my friends and I converse (if you could call it) in gangsta purely because it's funny. Those who actually talk like that all the time tend to get beat up.

Yeah, I joke around, but these kids actually spend their day talking purely like rappers. Considering I am a girl and I'm barely 5 foot tall, and I'm pretty skinny, I wouldn't be able to beat up these kids, although it would be fun. I might be able to take one, but all of them! No way, most of them are really big, but they are still wanna bes.
