All three of you need to learn how to use grammar properly...
Alecto
Using 'U' instead of 'you' is against the rules y'know,

how aren't i using correct grammar?
djbob
QUOTE

Missed the capitilization at the start of the sentence, as well as the capitilization of the acronym "OK." Missed a comma after "OK." Shouldn't have capitilized "MOD." Missed an "a" before "MOD." Missed a period at the end of the sentence.

PS: That's six in one sentence. Also...

QUOTE

Missed the capitilization of the first letter of a sentence again. Incorrect use of "aren't." Didn't capitilize "i."
Alecto
I thought capitalization and punctuation aren't considered as grammar?

Well, the sentence should read "How am I not using correct grammar?" Plus a few punctuation errors.

I did not think so...but the sentence was grammatically incorrect...

And WTH Issac55? You are making me out to be this big-bad bad guy. You weren't causing me frustration, but you are a little now. I was just tired of everyone asking to be mod. I wasn't singling out any one person as you portray me to be doing. There was a small group of people that were asking to be mod, I would say a group of about 3-5 people.
Alecto
Can I be a mod? PLZ PLZ PLZ.

Just say you accept his 'apology' and get on with it, GF_22.

The apology is uncalled for in the first place! Geez.

Still, you don't have to be stubborn about it.

Why should I cave in on my beliefs and conform to the most popular idea? That is how America is being wimp-i-fied.

(Yes, I know it's not a word, you have to fun sometimes!)
Alecto
You're just accepting an apology, not throwing down your values so someone can trample them.

No, I would be throwing down my belief that his apology is uncalled for and caving and and apologizing.
Alecto
Why not take the high road?

You kinda did the same thing with your apologetic thread. Look, this person just wants respect and authority. It's completely obvious. First, he wants to be a mod. The only plusses (sp?) of that position are respect and authority. Then, he realizes he lost any respect he had in the first place because of his campaigning, so he tries to gain it back with an apology. Then he'll probably try some other method, like upping his post count. This isn't really a bad thing, although it is kind of immature. Actually, I used to be very much like that. Take a look at some of my early posts in the old KL.

If you ask me, you are a bit like that yourself. Your apologies and flip-floppiness as well a bit overzealousness in the part of being a mod show that you really want the respect of most of the "senior" crowd around here. I don't mean this insultively or anything... in fact, almost all of the new members have this trait. You notice it around most guys around their preteen years. Some humble ones go around that stage though...

Hmmm... well, they count as proper sentence structure methinks. And they fall under the grammar section in graded essays. And Word picks them up as grammatical errors. So I think they are... but even if they aren't, they should still be used correctly.
issac55
You guys are good at argueing over nothing tongue.gif.

yeah, i said it to. in the topic about chuck thinking to leave.
djbob
I don't think you have any qualification to judge spelling or grammar.
