Eh, I assumed it meant place of residence, so I voted North America.

I'm Washingtonian by residence (for ~7 years now), Canadian by birth and citizenship, and Chinese by blood.

Very interesting. I see you have inherited the Canadian's phrase of "eh."
Mynck
Usually in real life I use "huh." The sound "eh" just comes easier to me in text for some reason. Maybe because "e" looks better than "u."

Only joking around. It is a common joke that all Canadians say "eh," and it's completely false. But still fun to joke about.

It seems like everytime I hear about that, something different is being said. Once I heard that only northern Washingtonians use "eh." I've heard Canadian testimonials that they do or do not really use "eh." From this, I think a reasonable conclusion is that some Canadians do use "eh," and it varies regionally. Kinda like "pop" and "soda" in the United States.

This reminds me of an idea I had about the origin of the term "pop." Some drug dealer is selling cocaine pills or whatever. A kid sees the word "coke" and asks for some "coke," thinking it to be Coke-Cola. The dealer says "50 bucks a pop" or something like that, and the word "pop" catches on.

Okay, so I doubt that cocaine comes in pills. But you get the idea. Drugs... Coke... soda... yeah.

Coca-Coal got it's name from cocaine. Cocaine was one of the main ingredients when it was first sold.
