Great Idea, I'll need one too, to take on a 512 mb flash drive/psp memory stick on our long boring trip o india to vist relativs so I'll have something to do.

(At least that's what I think you're saying, and going to do)

And yeah, I'm going on the 2nd, Serebii, where and when (if you are) are you going?

Won't be anywhere for long though, going to Leh and the mountains with family. I'll be in Bangalore and Delhi though. Which means I don't see KC (Maharastra) or anyone else I know who'll be in India... although I never do, except one time, but that was planned.

SO, where are You going?

First of all, about the emulator.

I assume you're doing this to your PSP and If you are, I am not responsible for what you do, I had to get my ipod replaced after installing some Gameboy Games ph34r.gif
Of course the people there just thought the firmware gave up after I tried to put a English paper on the hard drive!

It might be best to check your warranty first...

You'll need a PSP that's not updated, last I heard, ones with firmware over a couple of years old work the easiest.

Here's some info on downgrading.

As for your hacks, just do a search, I haven't though about the PSP in a while, might be looking at Zoon or something.

http://www.psp-hacks.com/ possibly?

Umm... and get PSP Video 9, if you don't have a five G Ipod for playing movies on the go. 512 mb will store ~6 episodes of a show, and that is just the best thing ever. Believe me, I have the whole serires of BSG on my 30 Gb.

Thing is, you're going to mess witht the firmware, and I'ld play it safe.

I'm not going to India this year. I'm going next. I'll be everywhere. Thanks for the PSP info.

Last I heard, emulators for the PSP tend to run pretty slow. The newer PSPs do have a bypass tool for them, which simplifies PSP homebrew.

For emulation, watching videos, listening to music, and homebrew, I rather a GamePark 2x. Runs Linux natively, and has a nice amount of 2d games on it, with a boot-time of about 14 seconds for the handheld.
