Our town usually only has to have 2 inches. Because when it snows here, it melts from the heat, and then at night, it turns to ice and the buses can't do their routes because of the dangerous roads. I remember before I moved here to Arkansas, in Arizona, we had to have 2.5 feet of snow to have a snow day. We had snow days a lot. It was dry in Arizona, so the snow would evaporate and it would not form ice as well. Opposed to the common belief, Arizona is not all desert, and there are many mountains in the northern region where I used to live. The highest peak there was Mt. Humphrey. That place was covered with dormant volcanoes.
