o god not another topic for myscrnnm to rant in...

for starters, i'd say you could take out ps2 and xbox. with the ps3 and the 360 they kinda kick em out of the water. now all i have to do is wait for myscrnnm to come and talk about how the ps3 is the obvious choice and the wii shouldn't even be on there...

I picked the 360 cuz it is the only next-gen console i'm ever going to afford to buy

um... you do realise the wii will be under $250? that's what, almost half of a 360's cost?

Almost half the 360 was only 400 and i'm going to use my money on stuff for nthe 360 not to buy antoher console because if i do that then i will not be sure weather to buy games for one or the the other

they're not exactly the same console. it's like buying a pc game or a handheld. you'll want some games for one, others for another. it's not like you have to buy one every week or anything either; it can take time before you see a game that really excites you.

That's where you're wrong. You're just looking at merely the performance of the consoles, and thinking that since the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are newer, they must be better than the PlayStation 2 and Xbox, which even I admit, are now like antiques in the electronics world. The thing is, you have to look at how the systems looked when they were made and what kind of impact they made on the world, and how that impact has lasted. The PlayStation 2 is obviously the greatest of all of these (even PC World agrees with me, with the PlayStation 2 ranking 11 on its list of 50 Greatest Gadgets of all time, the only gaming console to make the list). The PlayStation 2 marked the beginning of the integration of video gaming and personal computing in the world. Its high capacity for computing made it a natural choice, coupled with SCEI's own support for using the PlayStation 2 as a computer (you could argue that the Xbox could be modified to run as a computer, but Microsoft didn't support that idea, they wanted to have a fine line between computers and video game consoles). There's so much more I can say but I have to do it later.

But of course the acoustic PS2 is better than the electronic PS2

I don't mean that i mean would i buy a hyped xbox360 game or a WII game

Personally I prefer Sabrina the Witch, but I've heard others are pretty good as well.

i have nes snes and n64 thats where i draw the line and switch to ps2 thats where they start going to crap.

i still have that system and all the megaman x games and sometimes play them when i'm bored
