My verdict on the show is Comic genuies but some people think that this show is only funny because they go for crude humor such as saying poop and swearing. I will admit that they do swear alot but it is funny.

I’ve been noticing some of criticism of one of favorite TV shows, South Park, lately. Some people claim that it uses “shock humor” in an attempt to get people to laugh. Well they’re wrong.
South Park is my favorite TV comedy simply because it is able to ingeniously provide good comedy while exposing a lot of political and cultural ignorance in American society. For instance, yesterday’s new episode was centered around of a parody of the recent Muhammed cartoon issue. In it, an episode of Family Guy depicting the Muslim prophet Muhammed sends the Middle East into a jihad, and the only reaction Americans have is to stick their heads in sand in an attempt to apologize to the terrorists. This shows how American society has forgotten one of the very concepts it was founded on - free speach. And although people may be hurt because a newspaper/TV show had to have its joke, we must keep in mind the words of Patrick Henry - “Give me liberty, or give me death!” We cannot let fear stifle our right to free speech.
And this particular eposide pokes fun at the very thing some people accuse South Park of - “shock humor.” One of the show’s characters, Cartman, goes on a mission to pull the sequel to the Muhammed episode from the air because he dislikes the comparisons people make between him and Family Guy, all the while masking his true motive with a claimed concern for the feelings of the Muslim people. “In this episode, Cartman claims that [Family Guy’s] jokes, often absurd, out-of-continuity cutaways, are interchangeable and have nothing to do with the plot. ” - Wikipedia.
In short, South Park manages to do what all the other TV shows are too chicken to. It expose the stupidity and ignorance plaguing our world, all while maintaining its status as the funniest show on television.
South Park needs help. I've only watched it once but my last boyfriend would watch it while talking to me on his cell phone. It was horrible. I think its a total flop.

I love south park!! I dont know where i wuld be without its teachings! Even though it seems racist and crude, the people who make it, Matt Stone + Trey Parker an like, the best guys you culd ever meet! I think djbob is ryt its just hilarious because its pointing out how ignorant america can be!

Southpark is funny, but everyone now is so sensitive and take everything Southpark says seriously.
Not really, nobody really cares. Except for the uber-conservatives, and they've always been like this.
No one can take southpark sersouily ar we would be at war. That show is rascit and everyone dies
If you consider admitting that races are different as being racist, then I am guilty. The show does not say one race is better than another; it just at times exemplifies the differences between them. Also, if you mean how some characters (*cough*Cartman*cough*) are racist that is just an example of an extremely ignorant person. The creators are definetely not of Cartman's opinion.
I take the show seriously when it's meant to be taken seriously. Like, on one of Stan or Kyle's "You see, I learned something today..." speeches. But not like when Kenny dies.
Here's a good example of both parts in an eposide... the one with Chris Reeves. The whole stem-cell research part is seriously (well, partly... ignoring the Justice League references and the supervillain transformation Reeves goes through...) but the whole Jimmy and Timmy joining the Crips thing is just hilarious.

southpark is hilarious,i think its funny they keep killing kenny in every hsow then the next one he's back
,but i didn't get that one time he died for real and wasn't around for like the season then he come back after a season without him

South Park isnt all dick jokes. Most of it is a satire of current events.

You guys cant fathom on how hard southpark would be to make, and the jokes they have to come up with to keep pleasing there viewer class.

I think it's hilarious that they use such a sophisticated computer program to create the show. They could use it to make insane CGI, but instead they stick with the paper scheme.

That's how they did the pilot, but could you imagine doing every single episode that way? It would take weeks to do just one episode!

There is some ntelligent aspect in the moive but most of the jokes are them swaering and pooping.

espicially at the end of each show they share a life lesson about what they did wrong
The special thing about South Park is that it's not only hilarious, but it's smart. I've only been able to find that combo on two other shows.

i dont really watch it. the chrismas poo is pretty wierd. i only like the thanksgiving special

lol that's in every show because the creators figured there should be some morals in the show

i think its genius they combined bad things,good things and funny stuff in between...also they make canadians look like freaks
True about the candians but do you think that the subtile intellengent or just the weird swearing and crude poop jokes that makes the show so great
