"26 June 2006 - British and American scientists have developed a computer that can analyse facial movements to determine moods. According to a Reuters report, the computer has been programmed to recognise different facial expressions from actors."

The next thing will be PRs, or Personal Robots. More proof that the world will soon be controlled by robots and that we will live in a little pod with a cord attached to the back of our heads and we wake up whenever we take a red-colored pill and find the answer to why we live in a little vat and are being harvested for an energy source. shocking.gif

Yeah, I would want a link to it too for two reasons:

1. I forgot where I got it, and

2. it would show me how to create links, which I do not know how to do. I am a noob. shocking.gif

The computer thing doesn't really surprise me too much.

Just type in the URL and the forums program makes the link for you.

It's actually quite simple (in concept, that is). The computer uses soecial algorithms to see facial expressions based on relative shapes and features on the face and how they become elongated and such. When the features are in a certain range, the computer then matches it to a pre-recorded mood or emotion.

i bought a mood ring that works for like, 74 cents

Well, mood rings don't do anything but measure temperature.
djbob
Which means it could work a little bit, but not very accurately.

Exactly. For instance, two of the same high temperatures could be completely different moods. So basically, a mood ring can prove to be vaguely accurate, although more of a cool novelty item.
