If this proposal is passed:
1) anyone making a topic with porn on it will have the said topic edited to remove the link to porn.
2) anyone making a topic with porn on it will be banned for 5 days, unless a mod/admin decides to prolong the ban for justifiable reasons.
I have made this proposal because we have received an influx from porno-posters over the last few weeks, and I'm getting tired of having to edit topics and warn people because of this.
I vote yes, by the way.

Yes, that seems reasonable.

Yeah! Wait... You didn't have this rule before? Anyway, I think the we should not ban for five days. I think the IP adress should be banned. I vote that we should do what I say, or Yes!

Yes, but completely useless. Post porn, then ban. So what? New account, new IP, post again, then get banned. THEY DON'T CARE.

I agree with Genesis. It's not going to do any help, and we might end up blocking a multiple-user or spoofed IP address.
-----Edit-----
Currently, we just delete any commercial spam where someone (probably a bot) comes here, posts a random topic, then never comes back.

Just block thier IP adress. Too bad for a multiple user account. The other user will get mad at the porn-poster and rip him apart.

I mean like where many people share the same IP. And they don't necessarily know each other. ISPs do that sometimes.
Or a proxy where you can fake an IP.

Oh.. never mind.

Then again, never mind. IP addresses probably can't be spoofed.

These probably aren't even real people doing this here. It's almost certainly automated.

Yes, they can be spoofed easily. Also, they can be changed easily if you are using Cable/Dialup. I vote no. Banning IP\'s would just hinder people from accessing the site, especially if it was a public IP like a library that we banned. Just delete the SPAM, and be done with it.

some are manual spammers. Besides, I haven't seen much porn on here, only once I think. Maybe it's because i have good moderators

I've seen it twice from the same site

lappy, you should write some fine print saying if you post porn on this site your ip adress is up for ban and you will be charged a fine through your internet bill (if you can even do that, if u cant then any other way) and, if it was underaged porn aka had children in it you could alwasy report that to the police, and one who has the nerve to post porn on a fourm oughta have their ip baned

Everytime this happens, it's a different IP address. They wouldn't be so stupid to leave their real IP addresses on here.
