The Eiffel Tower has a certain weirdish look to it, if you look at it sideways. Hey, I should be in bed right now! Wow, I'm really bored. I should go do my math HW... O.o a monitor.

I spell it just fine, but I refuse to capitalize it cuz most people dont know what the [bleeped!] youre talking about if you say D-O-S, so I say Dos (pronounced doss). I obviously know its an acronym, as I just spelled it out before. Disk Operating System. Gates most definitly created a DOS by his little lonesome while he was attending a tech school as a project. This later became MSDos, marketed by microsoft.
I say it as a word too. But when you write it, it should have all caps, like the acronym that it is.

Law is a bit extreme, more like fact.

Sometimes laws can be dictated by opinion, facts cannot.
Herloss
Sep 7 2005, 04:20 PM
Well in your little world, your laws are dictated by opinion, not fact. It isnt a fact that there is no god, it is only your opinion.
Regardless, in the context law is the exact same as fact. Its like laws when you think about laws of physics. They are considered fact by the majority of the scientific community. It is defined as a principle. "The term law is often used to refer to universal principles that describe the fundamental nature of something." - Wikipedia
When you say that there is no god, it can be considered a law, and/or a fact.
None of this changes the fact that you are a self centered, egotistical, sociopathic, one-sided, opinionated moron.

I am not one-sided, I like to think of myself as "multifaceted".

Sep 7 2005, 06:31 PM
Yes, you are. You take your one opinion and decide that everyone else is wrong. You dont even consider that you could be wrong. You dont look into others opinions, you dont think about the reasoning behind others opinions, and you dont ever consider the fact that their opinion is just as viable as your own.

I have never had a problem with a poll's outcome. I do believe there was one a little while ago where you were complaining that it "didnt represent the actual views of the members".
Linux has customer support from competent people who actually use the OS, a HUGE step up from Windows.
You haven't had a problem with the poll's outcome because we have never had the type of poll I am talking about here. And I doubt I said,
didnt[sic] represent the actual views of the members", cuz unless the poll is rigged or tampered with, is obviously represents the views of the members.

Because the outcome is certain, and I will be right. I have asked members here personally about what they think about our arguments, and they say that I am right. But they are just too lazy to help me.
Herloss
Sep 8 2005, 04:23 PM
The only people who have ever helped in an argument have been on my side, and if they dont care to bother backing you up, what makes you think that they really think you're right? If there has never been a poll of this kind, how can you be certain of the outcome? Its impossible.

I am certain that they think I am right because they aren't afraid to tell me when I am wrong, so I can trust that they are telling the truth.
It's not impossible. I mean, there are things where you can be certain of the outcome. When China voted whether or not to use violence to take over Taiwan, everybody except for two people voted yes.

Except that your "friends" never tell you that you are wrong, because the ones who do suddenly are no longer on the list of "friends".
Its impossible when the kind of thing has never been conducted before. There was no way of predicting the outcome of your example. The actual outcome is irrelevant because of this.

I don't think so. I would know better than you, cuz they are my friends and you have never met them. And part of being a good friend is being able to be truthful.

Sep 8 2005, 07:23 PM
And once again you take the easiest route and ignore the pre-existing issue in favor of a new one that you havnt yet failed.
Humans are all the same, and as you have said previously, are always looking to get an edge over everyone else, and if your "friends" can do so by sucking up to you, then they arent friends, theyre goons.

I wouldn't say they are sucking up to me, as they criticise me a lot and oppose my ideas. Now that is not really what reliable goons do, or goons for that matter.

You sound like Hugo Drax from the James Bond film,
Moonraker. He believed that he needed to create a "superhuman" race by transporting people with better genes into space, and then killing all the "imperfect" people on Earth, then return to Earth to start a better race. But the thing is, there will always be genetic mutations that will start these hereditary traits again anyway.

On a side note, evolution keeps those minor, non-life threatening mutations from becoming large problems in the greater population (or promotes a mutation that allows the mutant to be better suited for life).
