From what i've seen, especially from the G4 coverage of E3, the 360 seems to have the better titles. The few PS3 exculsives are nice but not quite as nice as the 360's.

I love the concept of the Wii but i'm not sure it's gonna work as well as Nintendo is saying it will.

Opinions?
GameClaw_268
G4 showed very little of what was actually there for Nintendo. Besides, 90% of that show was advertising.

I agree that the 360 games look great, but remember that this early in the consoles life, they have yet to tap in to the true power that the Xbox possesses.

The PS3 has some cool looking stuff, although I can't say I'm too impressed with the controller. Kinda funny that Sony recognizes the controller as causing cramping problems and etc over extended use, so when they try to fix it, it gets beat down, and the old and admittedly flawed version is the only one the fans will let Sony release.

And, upon hearing the announcement that the Sequel to Full Auto was going to be a PS3 exclusive, I felt like being stabbed. Actually, the graphics on display for the sequel at E3 looked downgraded to me, and they will never achive as much physics preformance on the cell as they could on the 360. I'm wondering, what the *$%&^$ are you thinking?
/\/\/\/
the wii's going to be great. everyone whose got their hands on it have instantly loved it. last year four-hour long line for zelda was child's play compared to the wii's.

I think you're right that they need a new design, but if its gonna be that boomerang controller... keep it like it was.

im still going 2 get xbox360 clap.gif

Good, here's another goal: learn how to spell "to." tongue.gif

I look forward to actually playing the Wii. I really think Nintendo has a great idea i'm just sceptacle about how it feels while playing.

If I had to pick one console to get i'd definatly get a PS3. This is mostly due to the fact that i'm a huge rpg fan and Nintendo and Xbox have never really had a great rpg.

Its way too early to be making decisions though, i'll bet alot of people will change their minds once they get their hands on the consoles and the games

They released the new controller design at E3 tongue.gif

IMO, it's really too early to know for sure what company will come out on top.

A thought: Combine the Wii's unique gameplay, the 360's raw power, and an upgraded version of the PS3's cell processor (more cache, greater threading speeds, easier dev, etc.) and what do you get? A big mess clap.gif
Qlumpa
Hmm...tough question, I hope to eventually obtain all three, but currently...

Wii60 combo/72%
PSWii combo/28%

...and then the other system (probably after a price drop or two).

Too expensive for it's generation. There's a ridiculous price gap between the next generation.
zombieman3421
yeah, 600 bucks for a PS3 is a little high, and you can get a 360 and wii for the same price as the premieum PS3, so obviously, people are going for wii60
Alecto
Or, the Wii by itself, or the 360 by itself. People are cheap, except the spoiled people.
/\/\/\/
a wii60 would probably draw in the more hardcore gamers, but people who only play occasionaly would probably just get the wii since it's the cheapest. i mean, i know people that still haven't got anything new after the 64 since they were expensive or just stopped playing games.
Alecto
Prolly, seeing as how the Wii came out on top at E3 as being the most anticipated, and alot of people already have the 360.
/\/\/\/
i'm just saying from an outsiders view the wii is the most appealing.
Alecto
Wonder how the PS3 commercial will be...

It's like expensive cheese

Back on topic...
For games, I'd say the Wii would have a broader age range, with a better execution of motion sensing than both the PS3 and the XBox, while the 360 has the hardcore base covered, while the PS3 has it's cool lookin' games.
/\/\/\/
they all have plus sides. the wii is as good as nintendo has said it would be, ps3 games are gorgeous, and the 360 looks like it has some kick-butt games on the way.
Alecto
Gorgeous, but that clip of GT Sony had didn't look too fun. I'd like to see FFVII for the PS3 though, that tech demo they had last year is a nice start biggrin.gif
/\/\/\/
FFXII. can you believe they already started 13? what a load of crud. someone's gotta get their mind set.years of fans yelling for 12 and they start 13 before 12 is even finished... what a bunch of bull.
Alecto
No, FFVII, Final Fantasy 7. They had a tech demo of what the PS3 could do graphics-wise last year at E3.

SquareEnix is still having an identity crisis between RPG and MMORPG.

12 is finished, and out. Just not in America yet. And it appearently did quite well in Japan.

i see. still, they have a trailer for 13, and that obviously simbolises some work put in.

sorry for misunderstanding you genisis, i hate roman numerals.

Dude, where have you been these last couple of months? OBLIVION. Read into that. And Final Fantasy Online is already out for the 360.

Yah, I'm planning on getting a Wii myself. It's so cheap and sounds really great.
/\/\/\/
hey, if it didn't i wouldn't be geekin out about it, right?
zombieman3421
i'm getting a wii, and getting red steel for it first, that game looks so cool, and they should stop with the final fantisy games, its getting sort of repetitive, and if this is soon going to be there 12th here, that would be enough, along with final fantisy online, which wasn't that good when i beta tested it, thats 13, enough for me i say,

also, whoever said the xbox and gamecube don't have good RPG's, here is a list of my favorite

gamecube: can't do gamecube cause i don't know which one's are rpg's, so if someone else can do it, thank you

xbox: Fable
Elder scrolls 3
Star wars KOTOR I&II

xbox 360 (some coming soon): Oblivion
Maybe KOTOR III (not sure)
Fable 2 (that says it all)

so unheardofsaints, come back to planet earth, there are many great rpg's on the xbox and gamecube(i think for gamecube, someone can please make a list) that aren't on the ps2,

I've been following Red Steel for a while too, I hope they fix some of those aiming problems they had at E3 (aiming at sensor bar instead of the screen, could of been because of the shift to gamecube hardware) and the whole "no blood in the game issue" (I've read that there is going to be blood, only not in gratuitous amounts, but I forgot the source, could be unreliable).

I guess in terms in plot the FF games are semi-similar (love story/save the world), well at least VII to X-2 is from what I have seen.

Oh right, what I'm getting:
Wii: Hopefully when it comes out, splitting the cost with my brother, so about $150 to $250.
360: I've heard an upgrade is coming soon, so hopefully for Christmas.
PS3: ...Maybe after a price drop (or a couple).

i know there's the fire emblem series. i've never played it myself, but i've heard good things from it. and there's also paper mario, which i loved. and as for final fantsy: crystal chronicals... i'm not quite sure that goes under the category but there you are.

i really dont like the Wii. I like it more when you have a firm, hand controller. like Xbox or playstation. if it had that it would be great
zombieman3421
the wii would be fun and you can get exercise with it, and the controller is fun to use i've heard from IGN, so its a win-win situation for nintendo
Alecto
You don't get much exercise flicking a controller around. You don't have to exagerate your motions like they did during the E3 conference.
zombieman3421
well, a little at least, at least for the footbal games
Jay
The Wii is the fun-looking cheap one, I want one.
The 360 is good, just not as good as the PS3 IMO...Just not the kind of games that I enjoy. Oh, and the free online gaming for PS3 has attracted me. Oh, and remember that the PS3 has the motion sensor aswell!
zombieman3421
you can't judge untill the PS3 comes out, and it dosen't have a motion sensor, not taht i know of, but i don't think it does
Jay
From the footage I've seen of the PS3. From the reviews I've seen of the PS3. From the games I've seen on the PS3. I think it looks brilliant.

Oh, and it does have a motion sensor. Somebody missed E3!
/\/\/\/
you can just tilt it and it will react. kinda like kirby tilt and tumble. and @ timebandit: you've never even held a wii controller, so don't judge it like that.
zombieman3421
i've seen the wii in action, and it has a great motion sensor in it, but how does a motion sensor in the PS3 work for it??????
/\/\/\/
IT TILTS!!!!!!!!!! I JUST SAID THAT!
zombieman3421
sorry, thought you were talking about something else,
the motion sensor might make the game harder if they tilt the controller a lot, cause a lot of people do
djbob
Not all games will use that feature.

You can use a classic controller with the Wii as well wink.gif
/\/\/\/
there's the new "classic" controller, and some games, like ssbb or a donkey konga, will still use a gamecube controller.
Native Pride
Yeah but you don't need to use the controller all you need to do is get use to using the Wii remote

I suposse but i personlly would enjoy using it for all the Wii games.

yes, that would be more practicle, but it is cooler with the different controllers.
Native Pride
Mabe but does that mean that u would buy the unvirsal controller to download games or use the unvirsal controller like you would use the gamecube like with SSBB
chuck
i would buy the universal controller for virtual console, and use my old gamecube controller for ssbb
Native Pride
Does that mean that you will buy the games on the wi-fi marketplace. This is off topic but now that nintendo has went relly deep into the cahche of Nintendo players do think that there will be a super smash bros 4

The only people who button mash are those who don't know how to play the game very well, and aren't very good at it. The Wii controller forces people to figure out how to play it, and thus, attempt to be good at it.
