Yeah, I am getting back to seattle from the Linuxfest at exactly 7
Oh, thought you thought it was 7 Am.
BTW Why LINUX?
Mac is the best, and everyone uses Windows.
And against your previously stated arguments that I might have imagined, we would use Windows even if we didn't live in Redmond (although some more MACs would be used).
We use WIndows, because it is standerdized, and it works!.
Its compatible with everything.

As you weigh the costs and risks of Windows and Linux, consider this: More and more independent analysts and leading companies find that Windows Server System outperforms Linux on TCO, reliability, security, and indemnification. Get the facts, and make the decision that's right for your business.

After a year of attempting to develop an online retail presence using Linux, Tommy Hilfiger had made little progress. The company had six months to complete the project and, beyond that, had to address a set of legacy applications that no longer met its needs. Working with Cactus Commerce and Columbus IT, Tommy Hilfiger met both goals by standardizing on Microsoft® software, including Microsoft Windows Server System™ for the Web site and Microsoft Business Solutions–Axapta® (now part of Microsoft Dynamics™) for global enterprise resource planning. With its new solution, Tommy Hilfiger gains a unified information infrastructure that extends from the company’s online presence to its global retail and wholesale operations and upon which new applications that improve business capabilities can rapidly be deployed. Tommy Hilfiger anticipates new business capabilities, an estimated 25–30 percent decrease in IT operating costs, improved competitive advantage, and an additional return on investment through compressed product design times and supply chain optimization.
Don't use Linux. Only one computer chain sells computers with Linux preinstalled, and unless you live there, just reinstall your Windows XP CD when needed.
This actually proviesa good picture

The fact is... Windows>Linux... but it has a big price tag attached. And if you can't afford that, you'ld best stick with your current operating system. (The Windows one that came with your computer)
Apple is still the best though.
