Nobody uses the blogs anyway, so...

yes we do! And there are many users on myspace that have blogs, we should too. They are fun.

I was going to make a blog, but the overly-stringent limitations in the agreement made me back out.

The Blog Terms and Conditions are the same as the Forum's Terms and conditions, except with less clauses.
If you don't like the Blog Terms and Conditions, it's even more lenient than the Forum's Terms and conditions. And why would you post sexual content anyways?

Blog isn't working for me. I created the Blog and then checked the Help thing, and when I go to my blog, it does not show up with the content box called "My Blog Options" so I can't add anything to it >.<

My Controls>look at the top. I'll edit the help thing, it seems to be wrong.
EDIT: I found the problem, it is the blog.krazyletter.com that is the problem; it is not recognising the cookie, because the cookie is set to forums.krazyletter.com. I am going to set it to *.krazyletter.com, so it should work in the next hour or so.
Edit: Log off and Log back in.

Not the sexual content part. You know how I suggested the news thread and you said you'd consider it? I thought I'd make it as a blog, but it said you can't have stuff that is copyrighted. And Mynck said that anything that is on the Internet has automatically been published, and therefore copyrighted. So I can't post info from the website if I make a blog. Although if you want sexual content, I can provide you with some stuff in a blog.

It's okay to use copyrighted material, but it has to be considered fair use under the U.S. copyright laws. Actually, we'll just have you agree that all liability for this goes to you. I tried to read the copyright laws once, and I got about as far as two sentences before my brain started hurting.

And
that is why I'm waiting for lappy to let me have a news feed.

What if I do that and the government comes searching for me?
Mynck
Oct 3 2005, 07:41 PM
Well, first of all, the government wouldn't do that, it'd be the company that you're taking the material from. But they usually wouldn't care about something so trivial anyways, and if you did something wrong, you could always make some sort of agreement, maybe as simple as correcting whatever it was you did wrong. But most importantly, make sure that you give credit to whoever has the copyright on that work, and don't try to claim that it's your own work.

Then you're on your own. Although cite the author and/or company and everything, and you should be fine.

What if I cite the source, but not the company?

Since the company is the source... Also since companies own the trademarks that the source uses...

Nope, it is okay as long as you provide a link to the source, as I said above. Now start blogging!

Well, the thing is, with blogs, very few people see them. But if I had a mainstream news feed, there would be more feedback.

Oh yeah, the comment count doesn't count guest comments... just weird O.o
lappy512
Oct 4 2005, 07:35 AM
You selected Guest Comment Moderation (or it's the default setting, forgot), so guest comments appear purple, and they don't appear to anyone else until you approve the comment.
Alecto
Oct 4 2005, 11:58 AM
No, I set it on approve all guest comments, but it's not appearing on the total count (on the bottom of an entry)

I approved it for you; there should be a approve button right next to his post, anyways, turn "Approve comments posted on your blog?" to "No approve", so you don't have to approve any comments.

Whoop, accidentally did approve all instead of no approve, LOL.
