the part about "u" and "r" is that it's very annoying, when you read; we are not a IM chat room; put some thought into your words, and you need not type that fast.

Also, if you use the numerals "2" or "4" to stand for the words "to" or "four," there is a good chance that someone here will take it to actually mean the number. This leads to unclarity and confusion.

Wow, a spam guide with spam in it. You know, some of these rules aren't very...well, useful. For example: You can't revive an outdated post. If you make another post about the same thing, some one will get you for spamming! WTH? So how do you talk about the same thing without getting in trouble for spamming?

If you have something meaningful to contribute, then go ahead, revive it.

That's a good example when you shouldn't revive something. When you could would be like reviving an old conversation about a band you like, etc.

A bad idea would be to revive some news posted 1/2 a year ago. You get the point. Hopefully.

i dont like rules but i guess you have to go by them.... i was never told about starwars fights being that bad! ive done it on other forums that have the icon and... yeh i got banned!

In my opinion, StarWars fights are awesome, but they get on other peoples' nerves. And they distract the reader from reading the reply and the reader may misunderstand something and then a flame war could erupt, all from a little StarWars fight.
