PC World, PC Magazine, Download.com, all say that Spybot is the #1 spyware remover.

At first, Ad-Aware was really good, but now Ad-Aware isn't updated as much, and Spybot prevents spyware even better. It even has a immunize function, which prevents spyware before they happen (even if spybot is not in the RAM, saving RAM).

So, if you don't have spybot, keep your computer protected against spyware, and get spybot right now!

I use both spybot and ad-aware one after the other. Even though ad-aware doesnt get updated as much, they each pick up on things the other doesnt.

I recall that Webroot Spy Sweeper has been PC Magazine's Editor's Choice.

Spybot S&D is my personal #1 pick with Ad-Aware coming in a close second. Together, they make a nice Anti-Spyware suite smile.gif.

All three, Ad-Aware (Free), Spybot (Free), and Spy Sweeper ($20) are all editor's choices. Lol.

I see. I have never tried Spybot, but from my experience, Spy Sweeper pwnz Ad-Aware. Cuz Ad-Aware doesn't really get rid of the spyware, and the interface might as well be in a foreign language, cuz I can make neither hide-nor-hare of it. With Spy Sweeper, it is just so straight-forward. Everything is placed in convenient locations, and it is no-nonsense and straight to the point.

I figured out the interface in a matter of seconds.
You know what really has a bad interface? Sony's ACID Music Maker program. I actually had to read the manual to figure out the interface. Then after that, I had to go online to a forum to figure out more of the interface. Not only is its interface bad, it's been sporadically just closing without notice. It doesn't even give an error report.

I use Acid XMC and it is a breeze (to use, not the sensation). I'll admit it's not as easy to use as Spy Sweeper, but this stuff is pretty relative.
