QUOTE(Korps Commander @ Sep 25 2005, 01:57 PM)
You were banned in the process? Lol. But you never come to helionet anymore anyways...
*

I meant at Krazyletter, not Helionet. Since my new time period there, I have not been banned yet. Reading comprehension! I was replying to a post where you said "here".
Korps Commander
I meant "here" as in the present.

In how it is used in context, 'here' cannot pertain to time, only to a location.
Mynck
Yeah, this is your mistake (in reading comprehension). You misunderstood what he meant by "here."

QUOTE(m-w.com)
2 : at or in this point, particular, or case <here we agree>
3 : in the present life or state

No, unless of course you interpret 'here' as a period of time, which it cannot be properly interpreted as.
Korps Commander
It still could.

But in the context in which it was used, it cannot pertain to time. He would have to say now, or recently.
Alecto
OMG, why the heck are we arguing over grammar? Eh, when in Rome, do what the Romans do.

Myscrnnm, "here" in that sentence could mean time, it's alittle slang, but who gives a dang-diddly-darn. It's not like your grammar is perfect.
Mynck
Here, it doesn't pertain to time, but case.
QUOTE(m-w.com)

-----Edit-----

And it's not slang either.

Very few people have perfect grammar. But my grammar is better than HerLoss's.
GameClaw_268
One of the weirdest, but according to my english teacher, grammatically correct, things is:

Everbody were

does that sound right? But it's correct, and "everybody was" is incorrect.

Buts Mine grammers is best than you'res tongue.gif

Actually, it is in fact 'was', because everybody is used as a singular noun.
Korps Commander
Who's english teacher? Gamemaster_268's?

PS - Why are you not replying when I'm trying to contact you on MSN?
Alecto
Wow...

Anywho, I should check HN... should.
Korps Commander
You'd better not say anything about this on Helionet.
myscrnnm
QUOTE(Mynck @ Sep 25 2005, 03:03 PM)

I have already said that the teacher is wrong. And with a more simpler method than you. All I had to do was say that everybody is singular, therefore you say 'was' not 'were'.

I won't.
GameClaw_268
I really don't care if my english teacher is right or wrong. I'm still gonna say it the way it sounds best.

Well I started my reply before you ended yours, so I wouldn't know. And I cited support, making a stronger statement.
Korps Commander
Then you should edit your last post.
Mynck
I didn't notice that he'd made a reply before me because mine was at the top of the page.

But it is also overly complicated compared to mine, which can be comprehended merely from reading one statement.
Korps Commander
But your statement isn't necessarily believable. Mynck's, however, has support.
Mynck
What? It's overly complicated? It's not like you have to look at the support. Most of the time I don't when someone posts links.
GameClaw_268
and there should probably be a new topic made so you guys can argue about grammar. I hate getting this off topic...
Korps Commander
Sorry, they always do...

I'm sure that Mr. McDonald would believe my statement.
Korps Commander
How are you so sure?

Okay, let's ask him on Monday then.
myscrnnm
Now, the real question we should be asking is, "Which came first? The chicken or the egg that contains a chicken?".
Alecto
That is sort of implied...
myscrnnm
QUOTE(Genesis @ Oct 29 2005, 08:22 PM)

It is indeed implied. But that's what a man with an IQ of more than 180 once said.
Alecto
My little brother, age 11, saw that it was implied... only someone that overanalyzes or totally ignorant would not be able to see it...

I did not say that it is not implied (this shows that your comprehension skills fail you), but the question we should be asking is, "Which came first? The chicken or the egg containing a chicken?"
Senor Halo Blue 9
And we all know that it is the egg containing the chicken because that is probably the way cells and sex work. They form an egg after "POOPING".

Because it is implied,
"Which came first? The chicken or the egg?" == "Which came first, the chicken or the egg containing a chicken?"
Since you are treating them as if there was a significant difference between them, one can only assume that you meant that there was no implication. Otherwise, there'd be no point in even pointing it out! Unless you were trying to be a smart-donkey.
Senor Halo Blue 9
Mynck and Myscrnm quit Bitc**** about some small details! You guys are going WAY off topic...you are having your own flame war about some stupid words while the topic is about the chicken vs. Egg idea!? Ok?! So continue flaming each other on IM and quit wasting space on the website posting stupidly about some lame comments. Mynck (cheeseboy) you better lay off Myscrnnm for all of these stupid details and Myscrnnm don't yap back....you already know Mynck is Mycnk...you don't need the world to know....
Mynck
And Genesis too.
Senor Halo Blue 9
Who the bloody H*** gives a d***! You are also fighting with myscrnm and Genesis incessantly! LAY OFF!!!!!!!!!!!
Alecto
Oh, I see, you cut then merged >.<

You know, it isn't very smart to flame an admin.
