I dunno about you guys, but the dances at my school just plain suck. Not even 50 people go to the normal ones (out of a school population of 1800), and not many more go to the formal ones (homecomming, winter ball) although prom usually has a good turnout.

The Christmas Ball at my school costs $35, so I'm not going just to sit and watch everyone else have fun and I can't in good conscious take another girl when I have that girl on my mind so much...

The way I figure it, its none of my friends buisness who my other friends are, and this goes on up to the higher level of dating. I dont care if you just plain dont like her, but when you just plain get whipped and your friends see things totally differently than you, its a good idea to listen to what they have to say.

If/when I ask a girl out, if my friends can make a solid case why I should not ask her out, then I will probably heed their advice. It just depends on how much you trust the judgement of your friends. If they are true friends, they will tell you what they believe to be in your best intrest.

There are only three people outside of legal family members whos opinions I give a rats behind about, so it usually isnt that hard for me to make a decision based upon my friends opinions.

In such cases it is actually better to talk to some one who is a friend not your vest friend cuz they might be really stupid
