No, all missing children should receive the same amount of attention...

For example, you don't see CNN doing 24 hour coverage for all missing children, just kids like Natalie Hollaway who fits all 3 criteria, plus, it was an international incident. This is not fair, because it blots out the importance of the other missing children...

Yes I agree. It is unfair, but is it realistic to put EVERY SINGLE kidnapping on the news. I think that would be kinda hard. Only thing I would suggest is like having another channel devoted to missing childern and the really really really important ones could be on like the "Real" news.

According to the P-I,
of the missing children coverage on CNN:

76% were of white children
only 13% were of black children

That only adds up to 89%...

So then even less were Asian or Hispanic, or others.

Which makes the situation even worse since i'm asian.

The News generally reports the more famous people. If Bill Gates' kid and some other kid got kidnapped, (seperatly), they would report Bill Gates' child.

I think it was Carlos Mencia who talked about this awhile ago... or maybe it was Dave Chappelle... I dont remember, but bascially, awhile ago, two little girls were kidnapped. A 13 year old white girl, and a 9 year old black girl. Two seperate incidents. The white girl was taken a block away from her house, and left in the basement, unrestrained, with none of the doors locked, and the kidnappers left. She didnt do anything, and just sat there. The 9 year old girl was taken a few miles from her house, was tied to a chair in a basement somewhere and left there by her kidnappers. She chewed through her bindings and walked home. The white girl made the news. The black girl did not.

The government doesn't give a baboon's red bum about things like that. The government has grown corrupt and does not work for the good of the country anymore. They government only works for the good of the parties now. We have the right to overthrow our government in a case like this, but we do not have enough power.
