As many of you have probably noticed, there have been three major changes on KL.
1. Posts per page has been turned back to 10 posts per page, like the old forum.
Pages were getting too long and confusing, so I turned it back to the original settings on the old KL forums.
2. Topic view has been changed to Linear Plus
To keep topics on topic, and to provide a summary on what the topic is about, the first post of each topic will be posted at the start of the page. If you want to change it, go to the top of the topic, and click on "Standard".
3. Slashdot News is posted by Alice.
Do you like that? Or would you rather have another news site's RSS to be posted? Or do you like the Admins to post things in the current events forum? Would you like Slashdot news to be on the home page of KL? Etc. Please give your opinion on that.
Thanks,

1. I'm fine with that.
2. I've noticed.
3. Slashdot is kinda annoying, but I can live with it.

Thatnks for your comments!
If you're "fine with that", you can change that settign in your control panel, if you don't like the new setting.
What other news site would you suggest?

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic.
Anyway, I had 10 replies per page set already.
Yahoo or Google RSS feeds would do it for me, they're about the only thing I read other than the BBC.

Now, would everyone prefer Top News feeds, or Technology feeds? Just wondering..

How did you make the forum show RSS feeds? 0.0
I'll just keep my settings to show standard style topics.
Slashdot news could have its own little box in the sidebar for it, so those interested could find something neat and those who just want KL news can just find that. Or a filter option.

1. Duh
2. Duh
3. I
do have a problem with that. Alice is chugging away at flooding that forum with news topics. She's gonna swallow our replies to any of those topics.

1. Duh means?
2. Duh means?
3. It seems like the first comments for that forum have been posted.
Maybe I should have Alice update it once a day? or what?

1. Duh means duh.
2. Duh means duh.
3. Yeah, maybe Alice should make like one news post a day.

To put it in better terms, "duh" means "of course" in an "isn't it obvious" way.
lappy512
Sep 24 2005, 10:58 PM
and it being obvious, meaning it in a good way, or in a bad way?

Its like saying "You know what, I don't think its going to rain today" and the sky is blue and such signs of rain being unlikely.
Its more of a "Why are you stating the obvious" type of way.

Also, can you tell me how you got the RSS feed as a forum? That's something I'd like to try on my IPB.

I like every one of them, except for the stupid slashdot news.

He's upgrading to 2.1 isn't he?
Anyway, Alice's feeds should be pruned after they're a few days old.
