Hi,

i really like this script, it was something i searched. I would like to make some suggestions for next release wink.gif

- a description can be added to a every image
- that description will automatically be added to the <title>Description</title> when that image is opened (will be great for Search Engines !!!!)
- maybe that description will be added to the filename (i.e. www.imagehosting.com/view/description) would also be great for Search Engines !
- ads (for example Google Ads) can be added to the images when opened (top, right or left and bottom of image)

Hope to see some of the requests in next version wink.gif

Keep up the great work !

you can add ads on header.php, so it will appear on the /view/x page.

Do you have a link to your installation? I'm interested to see different implementations of my script!

The next release has a bug fixed, with chmodding, and will feature a admin/cp which will list every picture that you have on your server. I'll try to put in a discription thing, though smile.gif

Gaining some popularity, now are we? biggrin.gif

Heh,

the script is not in live environment yet, but i like it and would use it but the most important thing for me is that a description can be added for each picture and that description is visible as <title>description</title> when opening the pic. So a search engine can find relevant pics if the description is added in title tag. Also as i asked the www.imagehosting.com/view/description as filename would be great.

Do you have any plans to integrate that in future release ?

Thanks
Stefan

I think now hearing your comments, that will be a great idea to integrate into a future release smile.gif

0.5 will feature a adminCP where you can delete any image, in case there are some people who upload some nasty stuff onto your server. I'll try to put that into 0.6, though.

Hmm...0.5 will have to have some bugfixes for PHP 4.4.1, it seems that PHP 4.4.1 has broken some things.

Wow thats great news, hope to see that features in 0.6 wink.gif Keep up the good work, i will add some more feature requests later bonk.gif

Wow, this looks like what I'll end up using, if possible, and some of my 'wants' have already been suggested!

See, I'm starting a free photo host as a project, and I've wanted something like tinypic but specialized. Just a quick and easy photo uploader that keeps the photos for a day or two.

Now, in addition to that simple upload one image part, there would be the same features as imageshack- the interface for all this doesn't really matter, just that it's there. Resizing, loading from a URL, and thumbnailing.

The final options would be to include a few details on the subject matter in the photo, possibly with both drop-down selections as to a few general types and then the user's own naming and description, and a few check buttons to refer to whether the photo is of something that is for sale, or is wanted by the uploader. (only for members uploading because how is someone going to contact a non-member). This information would be displayed when viewing the photo on the site, in a way that google ads would pick up on. Also, users of the site could search via the keywords associated with the file, or by what the uploader named it. The site would serve up an ad to requests for expired images.

Members would be able to upload more photos at once and host larger file sizes, I don't know about actual permenant albums. I like the tinypic way of handling the url, but members with albums if they had them would be able to assign 'names' to pictures in the php interface whether if the actual file name on disk was q7466w or 123456.

That sounds like ultimately a bunch of work, but I am interested in learning some PHP and developing as much as I can myself. Do you have anyone paying you for modifications that would be included for everyone? tongue.gif

Bump? heh

I've read it, so I assumed you were going to work on it.

Did you want me to do something like this, or did you want me to work on it with you, etc?
tostitos
I don't have enough PHP ability unfortunately..
lappy512
Well, I may start working on PHPKImageHost sometime, I haven't worked much on 0.7.5.
