Wow, this looks like what I'll end up using, if possible, and some of my 'wants' have already been suggested!
See, I'm starting a free photo host as a project, and I've wanted something like tinypic but specialized. Just a quick and easy photo uploader that keeps the photos for a day or two.
Now, in addition to that simple upload one image part, there would be the same features as imageshack- the interface for all this doesn't really matter, just that it's there. Resizing, loading from a URL, and thumbnailing.
The final options would be to include a few details on the subject matter in the photo, possibly with both drop-down selections as to a few general types and then the user's own naming and description, and a few check buttons to refer to whether the photo is of something that is for sale, or is wanted by the uploader. (only for members uploading because how is someone going to contact a non-member). This information would be displayed when viewing the photo on the site, in a way that google ads would pick up on. Also, users of the site could search via the keywords associated with the file, or by what the uploader named it. The site would serve up an ad to requests for expired images.
Members would be able to upload more photos at once and host larger file sizes, I don't know about actual permenant albums. I like the tinypic way of handling the url, but members with albums if they had them would be able to assign 'names' to pictures in the php interface whether if the actual file name on disk was q7466w or 123456.
That sounds like ultimately a bunch of work, but I am interested in learning some PHP and developing as much as I can myself. Do you have anyone paying you for modifications that would be included for everyone?
