I think a user's ability to see invisible users can be individually set with the ACP. If you'll give me a sec I'll run over to IPB's Live Demo and I'll check. You can probably set groups to being able to see invisibles too.
Edit: Make that a NO for the individual users. It's probably done by usergroup. I must be getting vBulletin and IPB features mixed up.
Edit2: Annoying! I can't figure out what does it! In IPB default settings, only Root Admin can see invisibles!

Meh, well he's the only admin anyway, so it wouldn't matter if it were root or not
Unless someone's got root admin as a secondary group...
Wait, last night during my tests, setting root as a secondary group didn't give the user the ability to see invisible members...

Root Admin isn't a rank on KL.The Admin And KL staff.

Well, perhaps Lappy renamed the Root Admin group. I think it's unlikely that he kept the Root Admin group and hid it from the Member List. Hm... Admins and Mods have the same group name here, except just missing a space

I think I'm now certain that only the root admin group can view invisible users, and any other admin group cannot, (edit: and anyone with root admin set as a secondary group cannot either) and there is no way to change that. Well, unless you mess with the software... not sure why IPB made it that way though. I'd also add that in my opinion, making yourself invisible will make you stand out that much more to anyone in that root admin group, because they start wondering "Why did that person make themselves invisible?".
