Has anyone in any school decided to restart Krazy Letter, as in the newspaper? I think I am going to do that in november, after I finish making a video for a school competition; good time to funnel my team members into another project. Also, some school clubs make it so you can get credits for attending, that might be a good incentive for people to come and contribute. Also, it will help boost KL, the website.

What are your ideas on this and why?

What is this newspaper thing anyways?

Um, good point. I should write a history about Krazy Letter. biggrin.gif

Krazy Letter originated as a class, then school newspaper, and we created these forums as a supplement 1 and 1/2 years ago, in may. But, after a while, our newspaper section died off but we continued this website.

I was thinking of joining my own school newspaper when the year started, but then I thought "why?" It's a waste of my time.

Yeah Lappy I think it would be a great idea to restart the KL newspaper. Remember in seventh grade how no-one would like to read it as we all sucked at writing. At least now we are more mature and our writing is a heck of a lot better. If so then I will gladly join....

Take stuff from my blog if you want =)

Thanks. smile.gif

Yeah, if we could establish a Krazy Letter "franchise" newspaper in schools, that would be super cool. We'd have representatives all over the country.

A bit ambitious, ne?

Just remember Lappy, I will not support the chess club on this!

clap.gif Since the new Line Magazine from our school just came out, I wonder if anyone would be interested in writing and taking pictures again. Here is some background info, as some of you know, KL actually came from a group of 03~04' 7th grade students, which included, lappy and I. If i remember correctly, it kinda broke down when the second issue came out. The Line Magazine from our school is very stylish and profressional, but it talks more about the upper class man. and I think it would be very popular if a group of 7th to 9th graders wrote the new KL, and try to get some local buisness involved, it will be nice. Any thoughts?

I, again, would LOVE to be part of the restart, and i have some plans already.

Since your house is really really far away from mine, I suggest meetings after school at a teacher's room or something. We could also reserve a meeting room at Bellevue / Redmond Library on weedends. And for those don't really want to participate but want to get more krazy points, we can offer people like 500 points for every article they wrote, and 30 points for every pictures they sent to us. But one thing for sure, we need some photography. The biggest problem with pictures is that it is ugly when it is black and white. What we might to do is attract some local buisness to sell ads on our magazine so that we can actually print them in color. If The Line magazine can do it, i bet we could do it cheaper. And for money we might earn, donate them!
