But the thing about GT4 is that it actually simulates the feel and specs of each individual car. Like the heaviness and turbolag of a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, or the fine responsive handling of the Lotus Esprit V8. And GT4 is also sponsored by Logitech, perhaps the best perpheral manufacturer in the world. They built a steering wheel just for GT3, and then for GT4. The Driving Force Pro is the first gaming sterring wheel that features 900-degree rotation, imitating that of a real car, and it locks to 270-degrees automatically for games that do not support 900-degree rotation. It also has pedals like a real car. Also, Sparco, one of the best bucket seat manufacturers in the world, has built two seats just for GT4, so they can work in co-operation with the Driving Force Pro steering wheels.

So in other words, it's just like real life, except not as good. in my opinion, one of the best features in games is that you can do things that you couldn't possibly do in real life, experience a product of pure imagination. I don't want to play a game that just simulates a real life experience, without even adding to speed or prettiness.

GT4 is more than just a racing game. It features stuff like license tests, a jukebox, used car showrooms, et cetera.

Driving in a game is still insanely different than driving in real life. Show me a computer with enough moniters to simulate side windows, a rear windsheild, blind spots, etc. NFS, the originals, will always whoop arse in the racing genre due to its inablility to have been realistic back in the day.

There are actually facilities that can replicate such environments, even down to the tilting of the car.
Herloss
But they arent video games. They are usually setups for training stunt drivers and police. They still wont replicate the feel of the steering wheel on different road conditions, the pull of the wheel in a puddle or deep snow. They wont replicate the G-forces of hitting a corner, or flipping a car for hitting it too fast.

That's why I'm saying that for a consumer product, GT4 is the best you can get.
Herloss
As a consumer, an A6 is the best you can get.

I think that the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish is better than the Audi A6 Quattro.
Herloss
Have you driven either IN REAL LIFE? I think not. Aston Martins are freakin ugly as heck, as an added bonus.

That is a mere opinion.

Regardless, stock, an A6 would whoop a stock Aston Martin

No, it's the A6's 255bhp compared to the Vanquish's 460.

That means how good the game is after you've already played it before.

Plus, GT4 is so advanced and refined that Sparco has made a seat for playing the game, which is compatible with Logitech's steering wheels, in particular, the Driving Force Pro, which is enhanced for GT4 with 900 degree rotation.
