Full Version: The "Report to Moderator" thread
Krazy Letter Forums > Main Topics > Contact the Staff
lappy512
This thread is now the official means of reporting things to moderators; the PM system in use currently hard to use, all of us staff ignore the request, thinking someone else will take it. Well, this will show if it's been answered or not!

Okay, so if you have a report, please post it in here!
myscrnnm
The system has been the "Report" button for years. And only now do you bother to fix the flaw?! Perhaps you should let me have a go as management, I can turn this place around and make it more organized, and more efficient.

-EDIT-

Sorry if that sounded rude. But I mean, you need to have higher standards here. The place is falling apart as we speak.

You would start fining/warning/banning people who don't support Sony, only support Nintendo, or support Mexicans. And that's bad.
lappy512
Only now have people started to submit dozens of reports each day (and really, I MEAN dozens.)
Korps Commander
For tiny offenses, mostly.

No. That's what I do as my normal job. If I was management, I wouldn't do that stuff.

Maybe the management is doing something wrong.

Like I said, I have never given you people reason to not trust me, so the least you can do is give me a bit of credit.
Korps Commander
Well, you kinda misused Mynck's account.

Like I've said, I had his permission to use it. You were the one who was typing all the inappropriate stuff. Look at you, trying to spread lies about me so you can maintain your high-and-almighty status as mod. Pathetic.
Korps Commander
What are you talking about? Out of the 2 times that you inappropriately used his account, I only helped in 1/2 of the first time. Which means that you did more damage.

I admit to using his account, but I have never used it inappropriately. There is a fine line between them.
Korps Commander
Anyway, do you have something about any KL-crimes you'd like to report? Post it here.

Yes, in fact, I do.

QUOTE(Korps Commander @ Nov 3 2005, 08:41 PM)
What should I vote, what should I vote........

This should constitute a warn, as it does not contribute to the thread. In addition to that, the poster is a mod, and should know better than to do so.
Korps Commander
No, that was informative, as that showed that I didn't know what to vote, so I could be swayed by any party.

No, because it does not contribute to the thread itself. You could have just waited for other people to voice their reasons for their choices and then made your own decision. Instead, what you did looks like a mere attempt to up your post count.
Alecto
Myscrnnm, myscrnnm, KC has earned our trust, along with his mod position. You on the otherhand, haven't. Who do you think we're going to listen to, myscrnnm?

Allies equal power, and you haven't made many.

@Lappy: This thread, in my opinion, is asinine. The whole point of the report function is for reports to be anonymous, and anybody is able to see, publicly, who reported them, causing a series of flame wars and such. My suggestion, a forum with topics unviewable by members, but new threads are allowed to be created.

I think you were the only one who supported me, like, two months ago. smile.gif

Given a balance, who do you think people would rather pick, you, or the other?

That could work, If I implemented a moderation queue...I'll try that.
Korps Commander
But that's basically the same as reporting a post.
lappy512
Okay, there's one set up as a subforum to this, for anonymous submissions.

Lappy does not want to sift through Report PMs, because they distract from more important things. If it's basicly the same, then that's good, that's the way it should be. The only reason for this thread is to stop report pms.
lappy512
It's because we have no way of determining exactly WHO will take care of each problem, we just ignore it and expect someone else to take care of it; this way we can better see unresolved problems.

You just don't like me. I have not given anyone a reason to not trust me. I have not lied. You just hate me because you are more ignorant than me. And you also lack good judgment.
Spaceman3750
Well, seeing as you consistently flame those who do not agree with you, what is to say that you won't begin misusing your mod powers to seek revenge on those who disagree with you?
myscrnnm

If I sought revenge as a mod, then I would obviously be demoted. DUH!!!!!!

-EDIT-

I also have to report this. While I am not supportive of not necromancing, I have been punished for necromancing. And it is only fair that other members are entitled to being punished for necromancing. I have also noticed that the admins are very selective in who they punish, namely me.

QUOTE(EclipsedSun @ Nov 12 2005, 04:22 PM)
as jon stewart wisely said
after playing a clip from a lady defending gays by saying "who cares if they live down your street? how does that affect you?"

"how far down my street?"-Stewart

the point is it makes people uncomfortable whether others like it or not, and while the number of people uncomfortable exceeds the number who are, as this is a democracy, it will stay this way.

So moderators are not selective in who they punish? Or are you using "admin" as a blanket term for admins and moderators?

It is this "blanket term" of which you speak. Although it is mainly the admins.

-EDIT-

Hey, don't try to worm your way out of this one. I want to see other people getting punished.
Korps Commander
But what satisfaction does that get you?
myscrnnm
QUOTE(Korps Commander @ Nov 12 2005, 08:09 PM)

First of all, let me clear something up. I DO NOT TAKE PLEASURE IN SEEING GOOD PEOPLE PUNISHED!!!!!11 But I want to see this person punished because it is only fair, as I haev been punished for doing the same thing. And when the mods don't punish other people for stuff that I have been punished for, it makes them look even more biased. While the Nintendo-fanboys here might not think that the admins are biased, in life, people will know if you are being biased.
Korps Commander
Then why don't you just report these crimes in the designated topic?
myscrnnm

Its not violence towards any of KRAZY LETTER FORUM'S MEMBERS.

Your report is ignored. Neocromancing and bumping is not against the rules as long as it is not done on a large basis.
myscrnnm
I believe that violence towards members in this topic is considered punishable by warn.

What I said were non-violent. But you spoke of killing, which is violent. This brings me back to my point:

QUOTE(myscrnnm)
We have the admins/mods to punish the members, but who shall punish the admins/mods?
Mynck
I think amputation like that might be a bit more violent than just killing.
Korps Commander
Spacekid has been warned for violence in the sentence topic. Myscrnnm has not been warned, due to the fact that he SAID it was nonviolent.
myscrnnm
QUOTE(Mynck @ Nov 13 2005, 06:26 PM)

Amputation is not necessarily violent. People get limbs amputated for a number of reasons, including but not limited to infection, cancer, and frostbite.
Mynck
What? So I can just say, "So then all his limbs were sliced off with a sword, and ground up in a blender, while he's being eaten by a dog, but non-violently, of course," and that'd be okay?
myscrnnm

The limbs getting sliced off can be non-violent, depending on how it is done. But I never said that the other stuff was okay. Getting ground up in the blender is okay, I mean, I do it to apples and stuff all the time. But the getting eaten by a dog is pretty violent, as it is a person getting eaten (I assume you are talking about a person).

QUOTE(GameClaw_268 @ Nov 18 2005, 06:24 AM)
That's being very hypocritical.

Why have the pokemon games gotten shorter?
People complained about the huge wait between Red and Blue, and Gold and Silver. And, they started cutting out some things to get the games out faster. The people did it, not Nintendo.

Also, I see you admins/mods are avoiding this.
